Philippine Politics is a Joke

Sunday, October 21st, 2007

Traditional politicians, lawyers, rich jerk dynasties, actors and actresses, officers of the police and armed forces dominate the political scene. These people comprises the bulk of the political arena that makes the face of the Philippines a laughing stock. To give credit to those whom really performs well, the population knows who’s who. Some are really hard working and true to their intentions to help the country to recover from the endless corrupt system and the path of economic recovery.

What the country needs are fresh vizionalized people that are capable of providing Grade A legislations regardless of party politics. We need people that can stand up and express their views openly without whispers in the ear from corrupt businessmen. We need people who genuinely don’t need the prosperity of the pockets. It may be difficult to find persons like this these days but it is definitely worth the shot. It might be like finding some needles in the haystack but we have to do it. Other countries are moving on and moving on fast and its high time to get even to the rear of the bus seat. Disciplined people are what we need. The congress, senate, government has more than enough high educated entree’s and they are fully camouflaged painted that can eat you in whole once the moon has surfaced in the sky.

Who are the people we need to turn the stakes around for the better ? There are some students, overseas contract workers, housewives, teachers, nurses, local civic leaders. These are in short the common people who’s daily lives are experiencing hardships or making ends meet. We need to hear from them and not from the people who drive SUV’s or expensive cars that have a tinted window shield. Let their voices be heard and jot down their ideas.

Bed and Breakfast

Monday, August 6th, 2007

Summer is almost over and we have not yet spent our time vacationing. Plans have been made already and hopefully we could accommodate ourselves. The hectic work schedule had prevented us for our usual summer get away. The children are ok though spending time with friends and in the local community pool and recreation facility in Piney Orchard. There is a tentative schedule that we planned at the end of August but we still have to confirm it at the second quarter of this month. We have viewed some destinations but decided we would spend it if we can with my wife’s friends’ in Chicago and we used a Chicago Travel Guide to view what’s there in store for us. We also tried to see some nice places to stay but most are booked and quite expensive for this time. So I have found out this new site of Travel Accommodation that surely would be of handy now and the future days to come if we decide on going to any destination as it has a lot of useful resources as I can say.

Hopefully our plans should be definitely decided by August 15. If all are well we would be spending our week long vacation at the Windy City with friends and family. The children are already excited about the plans and they might be skipping a few days off from school since that will be the start of classes this year here at Odenton.

Paradise Philippines

Thursday, July 5th, 2007

Philippines a paradise of 7,100 islands in the far east. With the beautiful spectacular scenic beaches, virgin forests, tropical fruits, wildlife and most especially its people. The people of the country has the most adorable traits worldwide because of their friendliness, its never dying gratitude and of course of helping each other in the form of Bayanihan. I remember when I was growing as a kid in the suburbs of Sta. Mesa at Bacood, there used to be a playground of happy children playing, laughing, swimming in the free pool or just plain hanging around at the Paraiso ng Batang Maynila. That playground gave us a lot of memories during our childhood days and stays as a great memory for me. Though it was converted into individual housing it still will be the best place for me to visit when I go back home. My second stop would be the white sand beaches at the hundred islands in Pangasinan and the famous Baguio City. Then there we would take maybe a plane towards Cebu and visit Boracay which I have never seen but heard of a such extreme nice place to visit. But don’t ever forget the Philippine Foods that are so tasty and mouth watering especially my favorite Lechon de Leche and Pinakbet. Of course a dessert of the wide variety of tropical fruits like mangoes and the coconut, not including the home made leche flans, cassava cake and the delicious ice creams in the street corner of the Mamang Sorbetero.

Hey Paradise Philippines from Maryland, USA expect me and my family to be there.
